Quechee Balloon Festival
Held in June every year, this three-day event is packed with great crafts,
food and entertainment. The kids' magic and comedy shows are wonderful for
everyone. The music is diverse and great and then THE BALLOONS!!! |

Susan Bryant Caron is a Freeport,
Maine, artist who is currently working in sterling silver wire to create
stunning pieces of wearable art. Each piece is created by hand. She bends,
twists and wraps silver wire to create beads and components of this jewelry.
Sterling silver wire is twisted with copper wire in several designs. Some pieces
are accented with handmade ceramic African Kazuri beads or freshwater pearls.
Susan strives to be as environmentally conscious as possibly using recycled
metals and using no solder or glues in creating this work.
Susan has been a graphic
designer and art director for many nationally known companies. She started
making silver jewelry many years ago. It is just recently that she has decided
to pursue it as a full-time venue (in between caring for her very young
daughter, and planting yet another new garden!)

Maine Arts in the Park
Every mid-July this event is held. 2009 was my first year here. I
have been told it's a super show and a great view as it's on the
harbor in Belfast (Which is a beautiful, funky town in Maine
